Lord Interior Design

The warm weather today along with seeing the first Daphodils opening up has me thinking about my patio.  There is a talented group of designers in Portland at Revolution Designhouse who are responsible for the lounge chair in this picture and many other, locally designed and produced products.  They are well made, classicly modern and, well, I must have some!  Spring’s on it’s way…YAY!

Are you looking for something local, one of a kind and totally on trend for your home’s interior design? Go to Seek the Unique on SE 6th in Portland. Andrea, the owner, is having a blast with her business and it shows. She scourers the old barns and homes across the countryside and comes up with some very cool stuff.

Her husband crafts amazing tables and lights from their finds. Andrea’s flair, along with the keen design sense of her sweet and helpful staff, create an atmosphere that helps you to imagine these classics and oddities in your home’s interior. So worth checking out!

Andrea is helpful to the businesses around her and is happy to send you down the street to one of her neighbors if you don’t see something that works for you. That’s how a thriving community works, we support each other. It’s a beautiful thing!

Master Bath Re-Over Due!  I designed a beautiful almost entire house remodel with an addition for these clients over 10 years ago!  The rest of the house is modern, elegant and has references to their Japanese heritage.  Clearly this bathroom was due for a remodel!  The sinks had rust holes, the tile was falling off the counter.  I was thrilled to get the call to come in and  finally give them the Master Bath this hardworking couple totally deserves.  I’m sorry the photo’s aren’t better but I think you get the idea.  The floor and back splash tile are from Pratt and Larson and the shower wall and bench tiles are from Pental.  The project was done by Paul Hegarty of Hegarty Construction (website is under construction…ironic, huh?).
